Inventing - Give it a Go!
Updated: May 28
I love being a clinician-inventor – there is nothing quite like the feeling of being able to work towards a big dream like improving the lives of 1000s of people.
The logical first steps to any invention is to check that the problem you are trying to solve is as big for others as it is for you, that a solution can be engineered and that you can have a viable business model.
We were able to accomplish all of these very early on with help from the Medical Device Partnering Program.
I was thrilled when I was invited to speak on the panel Medical & Assistive Devices - Transforming Ideas to Reality about my experiences with the program and as an entrepreneur, to encourage other clinicians to give it a go!
Sally was a wonderful mediator, and it was a pleasure to be on the panel with some serious trailblazers and experts.
Key Takeaways from the day:
🥡 If you have an idea for a way to improve your practice, go and talk about it to your colleagues/an engineer/a business person/the MDPP
🥡If you want to write a blog post about a Zoom meeting you had - MAKE SURE you take a screenshot yourself .............
